This course is designed for those youth who after their Sunday school days get Christian teachings very rarely. In order to help them grow in sound Christian beliefs and Christ centered life, the Retreat Center offers this course. This course is conducted once in a year for a period of ten days normally during summer, winter or any other vacation time. Youth between 18-25 years of age should attend this Camp. Basic Christianity is taught at this Camp. Subjects include - Bible Survey, an overview of the history of Christianity, Basic Christian Doctrines, a brief study of the life and teachings of Jesus, and study of a book of the Bible. Maximum number of participants for BCSC is 30. The participants or their sending Bodies have to bear their travel expenses. CRSC provides the participants accommodation and simple meals. A Registration Fee of Rs.100 is taken from each participant.

This program is conducted for five different groups of people viz. Youth, Women, Young Pastors, Young Couples and Church Leaders. The following courses are available for each group of people.

In this high tech age thousands of options are available when one thinks of his/her career.  It is very difficult to choose one from them.  In this program we  provide guidance and counseling to the young people to help them choose their career on the basis of their education, interest, talents, resources, convictions and many other factors. Assistance from experts in this field are taken.

Youth go through several mental and spiritual problems. Generally they do not share their problems with others except with very close friends. Several questions related to their spiritual, moral and emotional life bother them. In their effort to find solution to their problems, they resort to different means and end up messing up their lives. This course is aimed at dealing with such problems of the youth and to give them proper direction in life.

Personality development is one of the major concerns of the youth. Everyone wants to possess a pleasing, charming and arresting personality. But many of the youth do not know how to develop their personalities. This course has been designed to help the youth develop their personalities through spiritual exercises, which are drawn from Biblical principles.

HIV/AIDS is a Global concern. India is second to South Africa having largest number of HIV infected persons. The easy prey of this deadly disease is the youth. Our efforts in this course is to educate the youth so that they keep themselves safe from this virus, develop a positive attitude towards the HIV infected persons and AIDS patients and extend hands of help and cooperation to eradicate this disease.

This course is aimed at inculcating a sense of responsibility in the youth towards the well being, development and growth of our country. Irrespective of their future profession, they are trained and inspired to become responsible citizens of India and to faithfully render their services to the country. Biblical principles are applied in the teachings.

Pre-marital counseling is now considered to be one of the growing needs for the Christian youth. With the influence of the free sex thought pattern and crave for individual freedom, it becomes imperative that pre-marital counseling is given to our youth. This course also includes subjects like inter-personal relationships, choosing of life partner, life after marriage, biblical understanding of sex, marriage and family and so on.

Women have a great role to play in building up a family. Beginning from harmonious living with her husband and raising up children with her husband in the knowledge and fear of God, she has a great responsibility to keep the family united. This course focuses on such responsibilities of the women to inspire them with the study of some of the great women mentioned in the Bible.

Most of the time women are considered as the weaker sex and the girl child as a curse. As a result they are grossly neglected in the family as well as in the society. They are denied opportunities, scopes and facilities to develop and use their potential and inner qualities. This course focuses on empowering the women spiritually, emotionally, socially and economically.

This course is meant for those women who are denied social justice in different ways. Issues such as abuse and harassment by husbands and in-laws, torture by drunkard husbands, suppression in the name of religion and practices etc are looked at in this course. Biblical view of social justice is studied and women are helped to look at and deal with issues related to them with a biblical perspective.

Women have a great role to play in the mission, ministry and life of the Church. For this, they need proper understanding, motivation, sound knowledge and skills. In this course the hidden talents and capabilities of the women are explored and they are motivated for greater involvement in the life of the church.

A large number of women become victims of this dreaded virus/disease. And in most cases they become so due to ignorance or carelessness. Our efforts in this course is to educate the women so that they keep themselves safe from this virus, develop a positive attitude towards the HIV infected persons and AIDS patients and extend hands of help and cooperation to eradicate this disease.

For any type of Christian ministry, Jesus is undoubtedly the role model. The life and ministry, teachings and sayings of Jesus are like huge mines from where we can extract principles for our ministry and it will never be exhausted. This is what we try to offer to our young pastors in this course. They are helped to look at the life and ministry of Jesus from different angles and are equipped in the skill of extracting principles, which can be applied to our present situations.

In this course we help the young pastors identify the different challenges they face in their ministry and explore ways and means to address to such challenges.

In this course our effort is to help the young pastors look at themselves in their two different roles as Pastors and Priests. They are helped to develop their skill to balance these two roles.

It has been the experience of many that it is easier to fall in love before marriage than to continue that love after marriage. In this course we help the young couples to maintain that loving relationships in every situation and for a live -long period.

It is often seen that in-laws make the life of the young couple, in most cases of the bride, a hell and in some cases the young couple make the life of their parents miserable. This course is aimed at giving them a biblical perspective of how to live and deal with the in-laws and parents and make life comfortable and pleasing for all.

One of the important responsibilities of a young couple is to build up a Christian family. In order to bring up children in the knowledge and fear of God, they must lead a Christ centered life. This course enables them to do so.

People heading different offices in the church, such as Church Secretary and Treasurer and different departments such as Sunday school, Youth Fellowship, Women’s Fellowship etc. need to have fair knowledge of their work and responsibility. This course is aimed at providing them such knowledge and skills to enable them to carry on such responsibilities in a better way.

Financial Administration is an important function in the Church’s ministry. For this, not only basic knowledge in accounts is necessary, but the person handling finance should have a fair knowledge of the legal requirements also. This course is aimed at imparting such basic knowledge to persons handling finances with the help of well experienced resource persons and experts in the field.

For centuries the Church has been involved in the field of development, which include social, economic, educational, medical and many other aspects. In this course our focus is on rediscovering the involvement of the Church and to motivate and guide the participants for such involvement.

Stewardship is not just about money. It covers our whole life and the whole creation. In this course we attempt to remove some of the misconceptions and misunderstandings on Stewardship and to set a new perspective on the basis of the Biblical teachings. This course has been designed for those who are in different leadership positions at the local church level.

The James Payne Alter Memorial Lecture is an annual event commemorating the birthday of Rev James Alter, Founder of CRSC. The lectures are delivered on 14th October every year. A prominent speaker is invited to deliver the lecture on a particular topic. After delivery of the lecture time is given for interaction. Church leaders and intellectuals from Dehradun, Mussoorie and neighboring areas are invited to take part in this event. The content of the lecture is later published and circulated.

Church leaders from Dehradun, Mussoorie and neighboring areas representing different denominations and religious Faiths are invited to this Forum for an evening of fellowship and sharing. A paper on contemporary issues is presented, reflected upon and views shared.

This course is designed for those members of the church who want to get involved in the mission and ministries of the church but do not know how to go about it. People having the potential, skills, time and money to get involved in God’s Mission are invited to this course. This is a specialized course conducted by experts in this field. Duration of this course is three to five days. The charges are between Rs.500 to Rs.1000 depending on the duration of course for each participant.
